New teacher/induction training: -New teachers arrive August 15 -Request for trainers to come during induction week -Introduction to the PYP: Looking at August 15-18 -EDM workshop: August 21-22 -Power schools training (6 hours?) -PYP Coordinator session: full day, perhaps on the 4th or 5th of September? -Amount of time new teachers will have to set up their rooms New teachers arrive: 15-18 August Coordinators return: 22 August Returning staff: 23 August Students return: 6 September
Written Reports -Find TIS and Swiss school examples and send to Wendy -Discussed ways to ensure teachers are using standards in their planning
Action Plan -Language and assessment policies to be developed
Connecting standards to Planners -Include standards (of main focus) in section 1 of planner
Strategies for making PYP PD more effective -2 session per month -Negotiate with Kindy teachers an afternoon to repeat the PD session (i.e. from 2:00-3:00)

Budget - Possibility of being able to move forward now in areas that we know we will have to move forward in when the visiting team gives us our report. Benefits of already moving forward in those areas as opposed to having plans to do so in 20111/2012 school year
ICT - Possibility of moving forward with this - Coordinators to compile a list of programs for Mary to take to the board
Pre-authorization visit timeline - General 'where we are at' discussion - Survey (monkey) using standards and practices - Do we think we should go ahead with the April/September/May 2011 plans..?
Report Cards - Discussion of removing ICT/changing humanities grade to UOI - General discussion about problems with the report card and ministry requirements
